Parent Engagement Coordinator
Jalisa Johnson’s mission is to amplify the voice of communities that have been silenced and to contribute to ensuring all students are receiving a quality education. While teaching middle school science in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jalisa worked as a community organizer focusing on education equality. Jalisa’s experience in teaching and community organizing fuels her work to empower parents, community members and teachers to advocate for our students to have better schools and a better education. Jalisa received her bachelor’s degree from North Carolina A&T State University in Psychology. She works primarily with parents in South Los Angeles.
