Parent Engagement Coordinator
As a cultural anthropologist, Lenny Schouten’s life mission is to help people find their voice and to contribute to a positive change in the world. For many years, she has worked on community engagement projects and advocacy in Europe, Latin America and Africa. She worked with survivors of conflict, sharing their stories. She published a book and made a documentary for projects with USAID, UN Women and the International Organization for Migration. Her various projects for peace building and advocacy help give voice to local communities. Throughout her career, Lenny has believed that education is the foundation for all positive change so she is excited to be working with parents in the East San Fernando Valley.
