Parent Engagement Coordinator

Sharnell Blevins’ education philosophy is that it takes the triangle of parents, teachers and students working together to ensure that students reach their potential. To that end, Sharnell has worked with nonprofit educational organizations for over 25 years, including the Golden State Minority Foundation, American Cancer Society and LAUSD. She has served on LAUSD’s Community Advisory Committee and Instructional Technology Initiative Task Force, as well as various School Site Councils, Compensatory Education Advisory Committees, school leadership committees, and community organizations. She has a Bachelor of Science in Management from Pepperdine University and Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Mount Saint Mary’s University. Sharnell is a K – 12 graduate of L.A. Unified, and her six children have attended LAUSD schools, private, charter, and non-public schools throughout Los Angeles. She lives in the South Bay with her husband and their children.
